Last thursday January 24th we held the first twitter for your PLN Day for English language teachers in CFIE Valladolid. It was a great chance to get to know what twitter can do to improve the language fluency, the amount of resources we can count on, and the incredible possibilities that twitter has to create a global classroom.
Eighteen English language specialists created a twitter account, followed the most important teachers around the world, created a paper.li newspaper with a twitter selection and tweeted using the hashtag #twitter4PLN.
The greatest satisfaction of the session was the implication of teachers around the world who encouraged through twitter to join this global teaching community. For instance, we had greetings from Steven W. Anderson @web20classroom, Vicki Davis @coolcatteacher & Tom Whitby @tomwhitby from the USA. Ana Cristina Pratas @AnaCristinaPrts from Arab Emirates, Michael Graffin @mgraffin from Australia and Timo Ilomäki @Ilotimo from Finland.
Twitter offers endless possibilities and it is in our hands to join, learn, share and enjoy learning for the sake of our students. Do not miss the chance to join this global community of educators through Twitter.
